Thank You Linda !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so Touched by the Kindness of a Sweet Blogging Friend Linda from Somewhere In Time(side bar) Linda will never know how much her kindness means to Little Shadow and I !!!!!!!

As you know Little Shadow's Dad passed away on Valentine's Day. Life has been overwhelming since then. Trying to stay focused and positive for Little Shadow had been my main concern !!!

What do you tell a Precious Little Child ,when they cry and say I want my Daddy? I Miss my Daddy! It is so hard to try to make a normal life for a Precious Little one , when your dealing with grief and don't even know what a normal life is anymore?

When the mail man delivered this sweet pkg. I knew we were Touched By a Special Angel named Linda! I can't tell you the Joy and Sunshine it has filled our Morning with!!! It was great to cry tears of Joy and not tears of sadness for the morning!

Thank You Linda so much for Your Kindness shown to us! I can not find the correct words to say how much Joy you brought us ,and how much we appreciate it! I pray God will Bless You many times over for your Kindness!

Bread Crumbs

Seems I have done alot of posting on cooking lately.lol I had more bread and buns than we could eat,so I made bread crumbs today, after I finished the chores. I put the bread in the oven 350 for 15 mins., turn and leave for 15 more mins. then run them thru the blender. After finished I mix herbs in . (I don't use a recipe) just add until I think I have enough. I store in a canning jar.

Its much cheaper to make your own .

Red

I never was a Big Fan of the color red, but the older I get the Better I like it.Did the Kitchen and D. R. in Red. Weird Huh?lol

We've had rain all morning. Yesterday I mowed the yard, was hoping to mow a field today ,but it will wait.

Some has ask about hows the cooking ahead working out. Its GREAT!!!!!!!!! I take out the meat ,thaw in the fridge .fix it and a couple sides and a meal is ready in 15 mins. or so. Loving it and highly recommend it!

A Girl Has To Have Her Sugar Rush

Last night Our Little Shadow spent the night.She wanted to bake a choc. cake.She had so much fun.A few days ago she thought her bangs were too long and gave herself a hair cut.

What's the Best part of making a cake?Licking the bowl.All the choc.washed off her, we'll see if the Shout brings it out of her clothes.lol

Cooking and Freezing For One Month

I am trying something new to make life more simple, these busy days! Sorry the pic. is not real clear of the shelf I stored it on .Yesterday I spend all day cooking to put in the freezer .I will pull out and cook a couple of sides and bread each day. I did mostly meats , taco mixture, spag. sauce, browned gr. beef for chili etc.. Of course each Family would do what you eat.

I have done cooking ahead and freezing but mostly when I was having company for a few days ,so I would spend all my time in the kitchen.

I was surprised at how fast it went . I bake most meats or cook in the crock pot. I clean up as I go that also makes it much easier. Some days I'll cook a pot of beans or something in the crock pot .

I think I'm going to like this plan. Spend 8 hrs. cooking once a month and pull a dish from the freezer and a couple sides and bread and its Supper time.lol

I know this is not for everyone, but if you think it would work for you I would highly encourage you to try it.

Monday- Monday

Life is still a bit overwhelming right now.Trying hard to be Positive .Some days are easier than other.Thanks again for your prayers and all your kind deeds!

I am trying to plan my menu's for the week. My Guys are Meat Lovers trying to find healthy recipes and trying for 2 nights per wk. veggie dishes without them knowing what I'm up to.Lol
Here a recipe I've made for awhile and the like it .

Taco Salad
1head lettuce
2 cans kidney beand drained and rinsed
4 toms. cut into bite sized-pieces
8oz. cheddar cheese
1(10oz.)bag tortillia chips
1 jar catalina French salad dressing
1pkg. taco seasoning mix

Tear up lettuce into bite size pieces,place in large salad bowl.Add beans and cut up tomatoes.In small bowl empty salad dressing,and taco mix stir well ,break up tortilla chips into smaller piecesand add to bowl.Mix cheese into salad,Drizzle taco-saladdressing over ingredients mix well Serve cold serves 8

Out of the Mouth of Babes

Our Little Shadow is such a Joy. It's so hard for her to understand why her Daddy want be back.
We had her the Day My sister found my nephew, we kept her all night having to act as nothing was wrong. When we took her home my Bro.-n-law explained to her Jesus sent an Angel to take your Daddy to Heaven .She wanted to know so much about Angels, my Sister collects Angels so he showed her some and how they have wings etc.
Yesterday my sister took Little Shadow to the Dollar Tree they had some big butterfly wings, Little Shadow said "Oh MeMe I can buy these and fly up to Heaven to see Daddy."
I know it is going to take some time to get through this ,the hardest part for me is trying to answer Little Shadows questions ,and hope and pray I say the correct thing.
Today is a busy day doing chores since the rest of the wk. is full.
We have sunshine:o) Hope to open windows ,then rain moves in tomorrow and the rest of the wk.

I Am Ready For Some Green........

I am ready for Spring,green grass,green leaves,hanging clothes on the line.It want be long now until we are wrapped in Green Privacy !

Our Little Shadow came for a little while ,its beautiful today,we took a little walk. So refreshing to all 3 of us!

This wk. we we'll have DH Mom and our Little Shadow Wed. -Fri. they enjoy being with each other so much .

It's beautiful today have open windows:o)

Just Want To Say...........

Thank You All so much for all your acts of Kindness shown to me (Us) durning the death of Our Nephew Jason. It Means so much to me (Us) !!!!!!!!!!

Right now Life is still overwhelming! But trying to be strong for Our Little Shadow. She misses her Dad so much, so hard to explain to a now 4 yr. old why her Daddy want be back. Heartbreaking!
