SimpleOld Fashion Handmade Christmas With Love

I Love a Simple Old Fashion Handmade With Love Christmas! No matter how well the economy is ,I still want an Old Fashion Christmas. I love to cook and I love to share. I try to make up items this time of the yr. and have for our Family and Friends each time they visit. I miss My Dear Friend "TREASURE" so much this time of the yr. she would could by and we'd have a tea party , she was Great to come visit when my Mom was so sick and we couldn't go anywhere. She Loved going through all the Goodies I had made and picking out something to take home with her. She was a Loving True Friend. She passed 3 yrs. ago .Her real name was "Treasure" he Dad named her. :o)

You can buy gifts and they are nice I'm not knocking that. To me there's just Something Special about Handmade with Love. I Love making Gift baskets with a theme. You can dress each item up or go simple such as this bread and tea mix. I save jars through out the yr. and fill with hot choc. mix, or Friendship Tea or any mix drink. I buy foil pans through out the year just for Christmas projects, plastic wrap etc. I have a good supply on hand and as the Season gets closer buy last min. items. After Christmas sales is a good time to buy ribbon or Christmas fabric to dress up your gift. You can Google for recipes for gifts in a jar, candy, cookie, etc. recipes.Or use your favorite recipe.

At this Season of our lives most of our Family and Friends are decluttering and downsizing . And enjoying a more Simple life. What are some gifts you make and give?

I have a Dear Friend Bob Ellen who had surgery please remember her in your prayers. Thanks!

I hope everyone has a warm and cozy day as well as Christmas.

Blessins',Lib

Everything looks wonderful Lib ! I will be doing gift baskets with some of my canned salsa , homemade taco seasoning mix and some herbal sachets. I may make no bake fruitcake balls and cocoa mix for the kids.
I love a simple Christmas and homemade gifts too.

Lib, your decorations and gifts look wonderful. I just received a gift in a jar and cookbook for my birthday ~ my husband and I are going to make friendship tea this year for gifts to friends and family. I will share on my blog and hope it is as yummy as yours :)

I hope your friend, Bob Ellen has a speedy recovery.

will keep your friend in my prayers. The girls are still enjoying the dish towels you made last year.I am doing a lot of embroidery for gifts this year. Also some baking. This will be the most simple Christmas for gifts I have ever had and I love it.

Hi Lib, I love gifts from the heart too, and theses look so good. Gifts in a jar are so neat, and I've made cookie mixs, hot chocolate and some others, they are so fun to do. Tonight I'm making Bark to take to friends tomorrow...we're meeting for lunch.
Good thoughts and prayers are being sent to your friend.
You stay cozy too, hugs Linda

You're right, dear Lib, the simple homemade gifts mean more than any expensive present! I always give plate fulls of my Christmas baking and chocolates to family and friends and often make up baskets with some of my homemade dill pickles, beets, jam, etc. I also make fudge and make up little containers of those to give:-) xoxo

I agree completely Lib :) We really don't do store bought presents anymore. The kids of course, but us grown ups get hand made things. Last year I made a yo-yo Christmas tree garland, and heatable rice packs for loved ones. They are great for achy muscles on a cold night !! Also food gifts, and pillows. :) Prayers for your friend :) Hugs !! :) :)
